NSW has recorded 14 days with no local COVID-19 cases! Plus, the Victorian border is now open.
The NSW Budget was released last week, and while there is an overall deficit expected, it’s great to see the government investing in boosting the local economy. Highlights for business include:
– 4 x $25 vouchers for every adult to spent on dining and entertainment
– A cut to the payroll tax from 5.45% to 4.85%, and an increase to the tax threshold from $1m to $1.2m.
– Businesses below the payroll tax threshold can apply for $1500 in vouchers to help with government fees
– $1.8B towards new infrastructure projects in the regions
