The Situation
Home Nursing Group, a homegrown regional business, was experiencing significant growth, increasing its number of staff from 70 to 130 in just over a year. As a result, Gorm Kirsch, Managing Director, wanted to ensure that Home Nursing Group’s growth would be sustainable into the foreseeable future. ‘As an organisation, we really needed to regroup. Home Nursing Group wanted clear workforce planning and an understanding of what was required structurally to support our continued growth.’
Home Nursing Group wanted to assess what risks they had in terms of management duties, and what gaps there might be in managing their business. They had identified delegation, decision making and communication as key pain areas and were seeking a qualified and independent assessment of how best to structure their business.
‘As a homegrown regional business, we felt we needed advice from someone who had a regional focus and understood regional business. We wanted someone local to us, and not imagining us from a city office. The PPS Approach
Pinnacle People Solutions undertook a full assessment of Home Nursing Group’s position descriptions, as well as a RACI analysis (responsible accountable communicate and inform – a matrix for mapping responsibilities and accountabilities for key aspects of the business) of the key functions at the executive level in the business to ensure continued sustainable growth.
‘Pinnacle People Solutions and, in particular its Principal, Bronwyn Pearson, took a hands-on, grassroots approach into assessing our organisation’s needs. Bronwyn is a skilled facilitator able to negotiate with senior management and general staff effectively. She led constructive conversations, progressed discussions on paper, worked with affected staff one-on-one, and built us a very clear project plan. There was a lot going on in our business at the time and Pinnacle People Solutions were able to adjust the project timelines to fit us, which we appreciated,’ Gorm said.
