To our valued colleagues, clients and communities,
The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic is forcing everyone to rethink how they interact with the world – our work habits, how we gather and how we keep doing business.
As a company who cares deeply about the rural and regional communities we serve and our employees, we’ve been carefully considering everything we can do to help the situation.
So much is unknown right now, but the one thing we do know is that we can help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect ourselves and our communities by taking steps to limit our exposure to others. According to infectious disease experts, this is essential to slow the spread (#flattenthecurve) so that our hospital resources can be prepared and available to those in need. This is especially important in rural and regional communities.
For this reason, we’ve made the decision that all our staff will work remotely, from home, until at least Tuesday, 31 March 2020. We have the necessary workplace practices, systems and infrastructure in place for our staff to work from anywhere, including our home offices. We are also ably supported by expert suppliers with the same capabilities. Consequently, it will be business as usual over the coming weeks.
Therefore, effective immediately, all our meetings (including site visits) will be conducted via videoconference or telephone. We will be making contact with you shortly to make these arrangements.
Regionally based small to medium enterprises and not-for-profit enterprises will find the coming months very challenging. Do not hesitate to reach out for support – we will be keeping employers and employees informed as things progress and will regularly provide advice and resources via our social media channels and website.
In this uncertain time, we urge our clients, colleagues and communities to continue to act with compassion and care as we navigate how we continue to operate as employers and businesses and take all necessary precautions to protect yourselves and each other.
